Despite the ongoing tension with one of his biggest stars, Jon Jones, Dana White say’s he and the Light Heavyweight champion will eventually get tired of all the bickering.

Speaking on Eddie Hearn’s Talk the Talk podcast, White says like any relationship, you have your peaks and valleys but it eventually comes to a point where both sides have to put an end to the drama.

“You’re not always going to agree on everything,” White said via MMA Fighting. “Jon Jones and I do not agree on something right now. We’re having a disagreement, but Jon Jones is a partner in this business. Conor McGregor is a partner in this business. The list goes on and on. When you get to that level, when you become a star or a world champion like these guys are, they’re a partner,” he added.

Jones asked for his UFC release after negotiations to set up a Heavyweight fight against Francis Ngannou soured. According to White, “Bones” was being unreasonable with his money demands, while Jones is adamant he never asked for a particular sum.

After Dana continued on his media tour to suggest that his 205-pound champions was asking upwards of $30 million to face “The Predator,” Jones decided he had heard enough, announcing that he would be vacating his title.

While White didn’t seem too bothered by the threat, he feels it likely won’t get to that, as he and “Bones” will find a common ground.

“We don’t agree right now on things, and we’re going to fight and we say things, the thing that’s going on in public, and eventually you get to a point where you get tired of fighting and you figure it out. It’s like any other relationship.”

Jones has been keeping busy trying to protect his city of Albuquerque, New Mexico from “punkass teenagers” who are trying to tear “The Duke City” apart during the George Floyd protests. So much so that locals are dubbing him a hero for his actions.

As far as his relationship with White — which has been rocky for some time — do you think it will come to a peaceful resolution?
